Home

Standing upon the mountain top
the world at my feet
watching the eagles soar above
while the wind plays catch with me.
I see the past
when times were easier?
No not easier
all times are hard
but simpler.
We did not worry about ice caps melting
deforestation
legalization of hunting endangered animals
our worries were small compared to today.
It vexes me
it should vex you too
that we are killing our planet
our very lives
with poor choices
and the wants of a few
superceding those many
who make smart choices
for the care of our world.

Cloak and Dagger

Running through the darkness
listening to the hounds howl
desperation filling the air
turning to see if I am being followed.
Sent into the wilderness
with a directive
to search
to destroy
the evil elements of the world.
Dressed in an evening gown
gun holstered to my thigh
I slip
I slide
through the shadows
watching the world go by.
Dressed as a pauper
watching the cavalcade drive passed
seeking the one
who damages our world
within the crosshairs of my scope.
Spying is a dangerous game
one not lightly taken
it comes with hidden dangers
but the high
it is like none other you will feel.

History

Lips meeting
tongues caressing
body to body
we yield.
The scent of you
the aroma of me
combined
is heady to the senses.
Caresses light
fingers trail across skin
heat follows each touch
as moans fill the air.
The times we have together
redolent of past lives
for we fit
two pieces of a puzzle
unlike with anyone ever before.

Infinite

I listen
hear what you really are saying
under the words you speak
the emotions
the pleasing
is there for all to see.
So similiar
in more ways that we can count
it is scary
it is exhilirating
when two can become as one.
There are rules
there are guidelines to be followed
if this shall ever be
an abiding love
for all eternity.

Flower in the Dark

Battered and bruised
locked in a cage
hollow eyes
listless
in pain.
Girls so young
they should run
dream of princes on white horses
swashbuckling captains
anyone who can save them from this hell.
Lanterns held aloft
victims seen
death found
gagging on the stench of rotting flesh
knowing you can never win.
For every one girl saved
watching her blossom
a lasting gift

ten more are taken

the cycle begun anew.

Reap what is Sown…..

Standing atop the burning building
watching the horrors that arise
from words spoken
with no regard
with no class
with bared teeth
and snarled mouth.
Wars have been fought
for so much less
than the angry words you spew
but still they come
flung here and there
darts that sting.
Feeling battered and bruised
broken once more
unsure
do I have the strength to fight back?
There has never been harmony
not in this failing world of ours
we reap what has been sown
and it is going to be apocalyptic.

ABC

Gibber jabber
lost at  sea
all the voices of sailors past
call to me.
Come sail with us
the romance of the seven seas
pirates with cutlasses
come chase me.
Sand dunes of pure white
buried treasure
x marks the spot
as sirens sing a song of desire
luring senseless ones to their death.
Head in the clouds again
stories
dreams
dancing in my imagination
while teacher scolds me
‘Stop this piffling right now!
ABC and mathematics are key.
All the rest is nothing more
but a distraction to reality.’
