Word of the Day Challenge #92-Untitled Poem

My throne
blooded mare
hooded glare
within sunken sockets
death mask
gleaming teeth
bared in rictus grin
feral growl rumbles
you dare mock me?
Liver lipped lover
aromorous words of rhyme
promised time
finger kissed tips
your hands around
stealing breath away
while my body reacts.
Lost in thought
wrought in pain
devil begone
flamed eyes
cast aside.
I lick my lips…..
Beloved of my heart
hear my plea
upon your knees
this quest shall be:
Find for me a God.
Find for me an Emperor.
Find for me a King.
Find for me a Man.
A Man
who can tame
this lioness’ roar.

Curtain Call

Dejection.

Despair.

Written on my face

as I watch you circle the room

glad handing

compliments reigning down

on all the unsuspecting clowns.

I try to hide the feelings

try to maintain a dignified silence

while inside

my heart breaks.

How can you not notice?

Not realize?

Do you not see the woebegone  look on my face?

I hide myself in the corner

behind a pillared post

tears gathering on my cheeks.

Allowing myself a moment of sadness

before reentering the world stage.

Did you think that I would ascertain?
That I might acquiesce?
My love
it will not subside
I cannot pretend it is not real.
I reach for you
stroke your mind
call to you
make you feel
as I kneel
before you.
Supplication.
Naked
breast bared
heave with shuddered gasps
you fill my senses
my body
as I give to you
release
relentless
romance and pain.
We fall
lust and desire
all consuming
all eating
bodies twisting
becoming one
within the darkness of midnight.
