Cuddles

Sensual dance of two

bodies melding into one

entwined

enraptured

caught up in the passion

the flames

of consummation.

Star bursts flicker

electric pulses flaring

sensitivity

to a single caress

becoming lost

in the truth of each other.

Sated

silent

quiet caress

bodies in the dark

holding close

warm love

cuddles in the stars.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom

  1. “the flames of consumption” — very well said, I think. The poem was quite enjoyable.

It might (or might not) interest you that, the thing I would often miss after my last divorce was the cuddling. Never thought of myself as a cuddler, but I sure did miss it now and then.

    Thanks for a good post!
