Deadly Tumble

Twisted tongue
curdled words
willy nilly
not a one caring
the damage done.
I am so sorry.
I really did try.
you were really horrid.
Bad in bed.
Bad in life.
Bad at love.
I could not last any longer
hanging around with you.
I slipped you a mickey
watched your eyes glaze over
took your hand
and out the door we walked
you were never coming back.
Walk along the cliff
I am on the inside
you closest to the edge.
When I stumble
you do not try to catch me
which makes it easy
to bump into you.
Cliff crumbling beneath clawed nails
you stare up at me
screaming for help
will I watched you.
Slowly step forward
watching you let go
fall away
your body crumpled on the rocks.

This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom

      1. Lol I am closer to end of city so don’t have to go through downtown. Now having said that our city still maintains a small town feel. When I hit all the lights I can be at work or home from work in 5 minutes. If really early (like if I work at 5) 3 minutes from home to work. We are a city of approx I would say 25000. In 2016 we had 15,829 people. Now that is those who completed census imagine those who did not.

      2. Me neither really but I won’t lie I love how it takes me 10 minutes to get wherever I need to go from home. Now were I independently wealth I would have home on water and nature could run wild. But……

      3. Me too!! A log cabin on a mountain side with a 10 acre lake and a mile long driveway. Or longer….

      4. Nah just sayin’……we are the best. Winters colder than the North Pole and Mars. Summers infested with mosquitos the size of deer. Exaggeration but still. We have beautiful lakes. We have mountains kinda. We have beautiful parks and wildlife and we built a route surrounding the entire city of Winnipeg which leads to all sorts of places. We call it the Perimeter. Speed limit 100 km/hour.
