Untitled Poem Word of the Day #15

Within moonlit garden
stone satyrs and nymphs roam
sat upon the marble bench
listening to that song.
Tears
falling
silver in the light
caress a cheek
once marred by hands
now smooth
refreshed
renewed .
Heart so cold
shriveled
pull in tight
never let it out again.
Upon whisps of mist
haunting melody
twisting
turning
licking my ears
making me feel…..
making me love…..
making me hate…..
making me scream…..
making me want to rend wrists
to stop the pain
to stop the anger
to stop the world
I have decided I want to get off.
Same litany
over and over…..
heartache
despair
rage
oh such murderous rage……
beneath my feet
nourished by the tears you caused to fall
hidden grave
rotting bones
I get the final grace.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
