Snake Pit

Not always
when moon is full
mist
thick
wends between ankles
rusted bars
before your eyes
does arise
monstrosity
bleeding stone
wracked
ruined
screams
tortured
serenade your nightmares
calling forth
beasts
wicked and foul
rending
heart and hearth
tearing from you
all the way
sending
screaming torturous
headlong into dark night
gathered into ebon arms
even as
clutching at worn gate
born through…..
dead eyes
sorrow
caught
wrapped
sent to dine
these corridors
wander in faith
we shall find you
we can smell you
we can nearly touch you…..

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
