She’s a Bitch

Snide lips
twisted
rasping laughter
roaring
cowering beneath the onslaught
feeling cold fingers
plunge
into anguished brain
voices
so many
pushing
yelling
telling
poking
breaking
heart roaring
faster
death is coming
eyes squeezed shut
hands over ears
cower in fetal position
no way to hide
no way to run
she will always find you
she will always come
she will snark
she will snort
she will find a way in
never to leave
no matter how you beg
she has come
for the duration
she is a Bitch
with a capital B
one everyone wishes
they could rid themselves of.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom

      1. Of course! And thank you immensely for sharing it. Please share my well wishes with your friend. I don’t know what they’re going through but I hope they find the strength to keep pushing. In Rudyard Kipling’s “If”, Kipling says, “And so hold on when there is nothing in you/Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’”. Please share that with your friend ❤

  1. Having had many moments where my ‘bitch’ has taken over I completely relate to this poem! My resting bitch face is still a force to be reckoned with and can scare small children and grown men alike! 😛 Loving your work as usual xxx♥xxx

    1. I was talking with a friend who is having a really rough time of it with her anxiety. Which lead me to this poem. There is a lot of little tidbits popping up here and there. I got the start of a poem from my keys knocking against my water bottle. Sounded like a bell on a buoy rolling across grey misted waters. Am working on that one. I also am working a short satirical story about the reelection attempts of a cretinous Ruler of the Entire Conquered Earth who has been keeping aliens from outer space from sending us their alien garbage and invisible sperm. I just started it am not sure how far it will go. Sometimes the stories peter out
